Frankel Foal Set For Goffs London

By

Goffs have announced an exciting addition to their London Sale. Millevini (Ire) (Hawk Wing), a 9-year-old mare, will be offered by Heatherwold Stud alongside her March-born filly by the brilliant Frankel (GB). The mare is a half-sister to Classic winner Kingston Hill (GB) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}) and is in foal to champion miler Kingman (GB). Goffs sold the first Frankel foal at public auction at the same QIPCO backed sale in 2014 when Crystal Gaze (Ire) (Rainbow Quest) and her foal were bought by MV Magnier for £1.15m. Chief executive Henry Beeby is delighted to have secured another elite offering for June 19.

Frankel fever is a global phenomenon at the moment and we are delighted to bring it back to London this year following the massive interest at our first London Sale,” said Beeby. “One of our goals in 2017 is to add a small selection of elite breeding stock to our superb catalogue of top-class horses in training and this mare and filly foal absolutely fulfil that criteria. We are working on others to complement them alongside an exciting array of form horses, many of which will have Royal Ascot entries.”

Representing Heatherwold Stud, bloodstock agent Jeremy Brummitt commented, “One gets used to hearing the normal platitudes from vendors, but I think this filly speaks for herself. I can't imagine anyone who sees her will be disappointed. It's exciting to support the brave initiative of the London Sale. I think the sale is very important for the profile of British and Irish breeding and one which we should all support.”

Millevini, placed multiple times in Scandinavia, has so far bred two foals; a 2-year-old as yet unraced filly by Mastercraftsman (Ire) and a yearling colt by Australia (GB).
