Mshawish (Medaglia d'Oro–Thunder Bayou, by Thunder Gulch), a Group 1 winner on dirt and turf, will shuttle to Swettenham Stud in Australia this year. The 7-year-old is currently completing his first season at Taylor Made Farm in Kentucky.

Campaign initially in France with trainer Mikel Delzangles, Mshawish carried the Al Shaqab Racing colours fourth-place finishes in the G1 Prix du Jockey Club and G1 St James's Palace S. of 2013 before winning a listed race at Deauville. He earned a first pattern success at Meydan in 2014 when taking the G2 Zabeel Mile, and flourished when expatriated to the U.S. later that year. He won the 2015 GI Gulfstream Park Turf H. for trainer Todd Pletcher and finished third in the G1 Dubai Turf. Switched to the dirt later that year, Mshawish won the GIII Hal's Hope H. and GI Donn H. in early 2016. Mshawish won nine races in all from 1500 to 1800 metres.

Mshawish joins fellow Al Shaqab stallion Toronado (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}) as a shuttler to Swettenham.

“Mshawish represents another top-class stallion to come to Victoria,” said Swettenham Stud owner Adam Sangster. “This is indicative of the confidence and strength of the Victorian industry when international entities like Al Shaqab and Taylor Made are willing to send stallions of Mshawish's calibre. We have had great support for Toronado from the Australian breeders so I am really excited to present Mshawish to them. He's a lovely type of stallion with the physical presence we all look for when choosing a mating; being the preeminent son of Medaglia d'Oro just caps it off.”
