Women in Racing (WiR), in partnership with Weatherbys, has announced that it will be hosting an event next month titled 'Bringing Your A-Game to Work', featuring a panel discussion and a behind the scenes tour of the Weatherbys headquarters in Wellingborough.
Scheduled to take place on Friday, May 22, the event will see five industry panellists discuss their strategies and tips on how to bring your best game to work every day, as well as providing a career progression opportunity and networking event for attendees and Weatherbys staff.
The panel discussion will be followed by the behind the scenes tour of Weatherbys, covering the following departments and services:
- General Stud Book – Thoroughbred Registrations, Integrity of the Breed
- Racing Services – BHA contracts, Racing Administration and more
- Racing Operations – Entries, Declarations & Jockey Services
- Bloodstock – Sales, Cataloguing & Data
- Commercial – Print, Marketing & Racecourse Services
- Weatherbys Ireland
Women in Racing chair Cheryl Caves said, “I'm delighted that WiR is partnering with Weatherbys for our first in-person event of 2026. The WiR committee has always recognised the value these networking events bring to our members, and we hope it offers a great opportunity for anyone considering a role in racing administration, or for those interested in learning more about the important role Weatherbys plays in the industry.
“We'll be announcing the panel line-up shortly, and we hope the theme, 'Bringing Your A-Game to Work', will be both engaging and insightful.”
The cost of the event is £35 for members and £45 for non-members, with more information available on the Women in Racing website.
