Pioneerof the Nile (Empire Maker) will stand for $110,000, in 2017, while GI Preakness S. and GI Haskell Invitational S. hero Exaggerator (Curlin) will command a $30,000 fee in his first season at stud, WinStar Farm revealed upon releasing its stud fees for the upcoming year Saturday. All fees include a stands-and-nurses guarantee.

“This year has been another exceptional year for WinStar stallions, and we continue to be extremely proud of their success across the board, both on the racetrack and in the sales ring,” said WinStar President and CEO Elliott Walden. “There are as many as 25 WinStar-sired horses running in this year's Breeders' Cup, including some of the respective favorites in the [GI] Juvenile and [GI] Juvenile Fillies with Pioneerof the Nile's Classic Empire and Gemologist (Tiznow)'s Yellow Agate and, maybe, [WinStar co-owned 'TDN Rising Star' and GIII Futurity S. winner] Theory. So the present and future are both very bright, and our mission is to continue to offer breeders stallions of the highest quality.”

The aforementioned Gemologist's 2017 fee is $25,000–up from $15,000 the previous year. New WinStar additions Outwork (Uncle Mo) and Speightster (Speighstown) will stand for $15,000 and $10,000, respectively.
