+MIZ LIZ (f, 3, Stormy Atlantic–Unbridled Sidney {MGSP, $680,380}, by Unbridled's Song) was the recipient of a textbook inside-out ride from Daniel Centeno and rallied sharply in the stretch to post a very promising first-out success at Tampa Bay Downs. Allowed to settle two from the tail, Miz Liz rode the rails and was up into centerfield as they made the far turn. Pulled to the outside with about three furlongs to race, she burst into contention with a wide move on the turn, was spun four wide into the stretch, came after pacesetting favorite Bali Strait (Hard Spun) with a vengeance at the eighth pole and finished strongly to score by 3 1/2 good-looking lengths over that foe. Miz Liz is the most recent produce to make the races, but only the second winner from her fleet dam, who banked over $680,000 in black-type events sprinting on the grass. Unbridled Sydney is in turn a half-sister to Caller One (Phone Trick), who twice won the Dubai Golden Shaheen, once as a Group 3 and once as a Group 1 test. The owner's father, Roger Davenport, raced 2001 GI Breeders' Cup Distaff upsetter Unbridled Elaine (Unbridled's Song). Unbridled Sidney foaled a full-sister to the winner in 2015 and was bred back to Giant's Causeway.Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $11,600.
