HEISE (Quality Road) debuts in the colors of Albaugh Family Stables, who campaigns the $400,000 Keeneland September yearling in partnership with West Point Thoroughbreds. A Mar. 19 foal, the dark bay is a son of $1.4-million KEESEP yearling Tap Gun (Tapit), a daughter of GSW Quiet Giant (Giant's Causeway) and therefore a half-sister to Horse of the Year Gun Runner (Candy Ride {Arg}), GSW Pretty Ana (Quality Road) and GISP Ottinho (Quality Road). The stakes-winning third dam also produced Horse of the Year Saint Liam (Saint Ballado) and Grade I winner Funtastic (More Than Ready), among others.
Fonzarelli (Violence) made for some 'happy days' when fetching $600,000 from John Stewart's Resolute Bloodstock at last year's Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale. The bay colt is out of Wink (Midshipman), who won the 2020 Colleen Stakes and was runner-up in that year's G3 Prix d'Arenberg for Stonestreet and Wesley Ward. The mare was also a stakes winner at three.
Major Awe (Constitution), whose dam Awe Emma (War Front) made $2 million as a Keeneland November weanling in 2015, is a maternal grandson of GI Ogden Phipps Handicap heroine Awesome Maria (Maria's Mon). This is the Robsham female family of Discreet Cat, Pretty Wild, Discreetly Mine, et al.
Henriques (Not This Time), a half-brother to SP Xena (Constitution), looks to become the fourth winner from as many starters out of GSW & GISP Princess Warrior (Midshipman). The colt's third dam Gana (Smile) was a half-sister to GI Kentucky Derby winner and champion Unbridled. TJCIS PPs
