Wathnan Racing's talented Royal Ascot winner Lost Boys (Night Of Thunder) has been injured in training and will be out of action for some time.

A winner of the Golden Gates Stakes, Lost Boys is unbeaten this year (three from three) and was aiming for a start at the Qatar Goodwood Festival. His overall record stands at four victories from six starts and two thirds.

Richard Brown, the racing adviser to Wathnan Racing, said, “Lost Boys is a fabulous horse and gave us one of the highlights of our week. James McDonald was extremely bullish about his future. This is obviously unwelcome news and very disappointing for us all, especially David and his staff. But the prognosis is good, and he'll get the very best care on his road

to recovery.

“Gregory (Golden Horn) and Paborus (Recoletos) have both recently returned with big-race wins after a year on the sidelines, and we'll be doing everything we can to bring Lost Boys back better than ever.”
