+HIT IT A BOMB (c, 2, War Front">War Front–Liscanna {Ire} {GSW-Ire, $118,164}, by Sadler's Wells), raced off the pace in rear through the early fractions of this unveiling. Nudged forward to close at halfway, the 2-1 favorite launched his bid approaching the quarter-mile marker and ran on strongly under a final-furlong drive to prevail by a neck from Agent of Chaos (GB) (Bushranger {Ire}). Oromo (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}), a son of the 2006 G1 Moyglare Stud S. victress Miss Beatrix (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), raced in midfield for the most part and was unable to improve on an initial midfield berth and kept on to finish seventh of 22. “He was drawn badly and did well to win, and [jockey] Ryan [Moore] was happy with him,” said trainer Aidan O'Brien. “The [Oct. 24 G1] Racing Post Trophy [at Doncaster] may come a bit quick, but we'll see how he comes out of this first. If he'd had a [prior] run he could have been a [Oct. 10 G1] Dewhurst horse. He's a nice horse and ran green. He handled that ground, but he's a War Front and would like some nice ground.” Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, €11,385. Video, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
