His Highness the Aga Khan's MG1SW Vazirabad (Fr) (Manduro {Ger}) will not compete at the Dubai World Cup this season, Jour de Galop reported on Thursday. Last seen running second in the G1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot and pulling up with an injury last June, the three-time Group 1 winner was pointing for the G2 Dubai Gold Cup on Dubai World Cup night, a race he has won the past three seasons.

“Vazirabad will not go to Dubai,” trainer Alain de Royer Dupre told Jour de Galop of the 7-year-old gelding. “He will not be ready to go straight into a Group 2, especially since he has not run since the month of July. He will return in the G3 Prix de Barbeville at ParisLongchamp [on Apr. 28].
