TJC Denies Stud Book Privileges to Four Trainers for Violations

One trainer has been denied all privileges of The American Stud Book for 10 years and three others have been denied the same privileges for one or two years, effective Jan. 1, 2017, The Jockey Club announced Wednesday.

The denials of privileges include the privilege of registering foals and the privileges of any registration process for any Thoroughbred. The denials of privileges are pursuant to Rule 19 of the Principal Rules and Requirements of The American Stud Book.

Roy Sedlacek was denied privileges for 10 years for being determined to have violated on two occasions a racing statute, rule or regulation relating to prohibited or restricted drugs, medications or substances in a Thoroughbred. The violations occurred at Belmont Park Oct. 11 and Oct. 18, 2015/

Ramon R. Preciado was denied privileges for two years for being determined to have violated on four occasions a racing statute, rule or regulation relating to prohibited or restricted drugs, medications or substances in a Thoroughbred on four occasions within a 365-day period. The violations occurred at Parx Racing Feb. 23, 2015 (two), and at Delaware Park Aug. 26 and Sept. 12, 2015.

Marcus J. Vitali was denied privileges for two years for being determined to have violated on seven occasions a racing statute, rule or regulation relating to prohibited or restricted drugs, medications or substances in a Thoroughbred on seven occasions within a 365-day period. The violations all occurred at Gulfstream Park West (formerly known as Calder Race Course) Nov. 29, 2014; Mar. 28, 29 and Apr. 3, 2015 (four violations).

Juan Carlos Vazquez was denied privileges for one year for being determined to have violated on four occasions a racing statute, rule or regulation relating to prohibited or restricted drugs, medications or substances in a Thoroughbred on four occasions within a 365-day period. His violations occurred at Delaware Park July 9, 2014, at Penn National Oct. 23, 2014, at Penn National Mar. 25, 2015, and at Delaware Park May 18, 2015.
