Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) will honor Brandon and Diannah Perry as well as Maryland-based Beyond the Wire with the Allaire du Pont Leadership Award and the Ellen and Herb Moelis Industry Service Award, respectively, during the 35th Annual Stallion Season Live Auction and Celebration Sunday, Jan. 12, the organization announced via press release Friday.

The Allaire de Pont Leadership Award being presented to the Perrys is awarded to an organization or individual (s) for philanthropic contributions consistent with the TCA's mission as the charitable arm of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA). The pair was recently named Philanthropists of the Year in Ocala/Marion County, Florida.

The Ellen and Herb Moelis Industry Service Award is presented to an organization that works to uphold the TCA's mission of raising and distributing funds to charities in the Thoroughbred industry that provide a better life for Thoroughbreds, both on and off the track, and the people who care for them. Beyond the Wire, launched in 2017 by the Maryland Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association, has facilitated the placement of more than 700 horses. Operating at Laurel Park, Pimlico, and Fair Hill Training Center, the group strives to provide 'safe and enriching placements' at partner facilities for retiring Maryland-based racehorses.

Tickets for the Live Auction and Celebration may be purchased here and the most current list of seasons is available here.
