T.D. Thornton's 'Requiem for a Racetrack' piece on Rockingham Park was awarded first place in the Personal Column Single Article category at Saturday evening's AHP Equine Media Awards held in Scottsdale, Arizona. The article appeared in the Sept. 20, 2016 edition of TDN.
TDN Weekend features 'The Lady is a Champ,' Christie DeBernardis's profile on owner Sheila Rosenblum, and Lucas Marquardt's 'The Fashionable Lines of Andrew Rosen' feature were second and third, respectively, in the Personality Profile Single Article category.
TDN was also recognized with second-place honors in the categories of Equine-Related Publishing Media eNewsletter and Equine-Related Publishing Media Website.
The awards banquet, held at the DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Hotel, capped the American Horse Publications's three-day Saddle Up for Scottsdale Equine Media Conference.
