The Thoroughbred Education and Research Foundation (TERF), founded by Herb and Ellen Moelis, has awarded $16,000 to Wilson College, whose mission is to empower students through an engaged, collaborative, liberal arts education, and help them combine the skills and focused study needed for success in work and life. Since 2015, 18 students have been awarded TERF scholarships to continue their education. In alignment with their mission to support and promote equine education by supporting organizations that are educating the public on the proper care of horses, TERF continues to offer their financial assistance in 2020.
The scholarship will benefit four students in the 2020-21 academic year with the overall goal to help provide equine-related and Veterinary Medical Technology (VMT) majors with the financial resources to complete their education.
TERF's current Board, includes co-Chairs Kathleen Anderson DVM, and James Orsini DVM, Margaret H. Duprey, Gretchen and Roy Jackson, Ellen and Herb Moelis, Wendy Moon, Anita Motion, Toni Orsini, Scott Palmer VMD, Josh Pons and Lucy Zungailia.
