Dreaming of Julia's reputation and pedigree preceded her into this unveiling, as the blue-blooded Stonestreet homebred was 1-9 during much of the early betting before drifting up to what seemed like a generous 2-5 after the fact. The daughter of GI Test and Prioress S. heroine Dream Rush was pushed out of the gate for the early advantage and came through horses to grab command down the backside. She doled out splits of :22.03 and :45.55 without much pressure and galloped home in the stretch to report home a facile 10 1/2-length winner. Second-timers Form Fitting (Tapit) and Neon Moon (Malibu Moon) completed the A.P. Indy sire line trifecta. Dream Rush enjoyed her signature successes for West Point Thoroughbreds before going selling to Halsey Minor for $3.3 million at Fasig-Tipton November in 2007 as a horse of racing age. She posted a record of 7-2-1-2 in her new colors before being retired. Dreaming of Julia is the speedster's first foal. She has a yearling colt by Medaglia d'Oro and a weanling filly by Distorted Humor and is currently carrying a colt by Tapit. This becomes the third juvenile filly owned by Barbara Banke's operation to garner J "TDN Rising Star" J status at the current Saratoga meet. Todd Pletcher unveiled Kauai Katie (Malibu Moon) on opening day, while Steve Asmussen sent out Teen Pauline (Tapit) July 25. "She's a beautiful filly and seems to have a blend of her dam and sire, speed and the ability to carry it over a distance of ground," offered Pletcher. "She's been a lovely filly from day one and has done everything right." Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $48,000.
