Nudged along approaching the final quarter mile, the 2-1 favourite quickened to the fore with 300 metres remaining and surged clear under mild urging to easily best Soaring Eagle (Fr) (Cape Cross {Ire}) by an impressive four lengths. The homebred bay is a son of G1 Prix Marcel Boussac-winning highweight Denebola, herself a daughter of MG1SW French highweight Coup de Folie (Mr. Prospector), whose three stakes performers include Listed Prix Imprudence victress Glia (A.P. Indy), who in turn is the granddam of MGISW Emollient (Empire Maker). Denebola is also a half-sister to GSW G1 Prix Morny third Loving Kindness (Seattle Slew), and to the dam of MG1SW sires Bago (Fr) (Nashwan) and Maxios (GB) (Monsun {Ger}).
