Selcourt took all the money for her debut and looked a winner every step of the way, romping in the stretch to an impressive graduation and ‘TDN Rising Star’ status. Coming in off an upbeat worktab, including a best-of-31 bullet from the gate over the local main in :59 flat Feb. 1, the chestnut was bet hard throughout and left the gate as the 4-5 chalk. Sitting third early, a little over a length adrift of a sharp :21.35 quarter, Selcourt sidled up to the frontrunner in hand at the top of the lane and quickly overtook that foe once straightening.
