super_majesty_maiden_800x_resizedSuper Majesty delivered the goods at first asking Sunday afternoon at Santa Anita, earning 'TDN Rising Star' status after a dominant victory. The bay was bet down to 3-5 favoritism off a 5-2 morning line for this initial try, a public sentiment likely aided by a series of swift workouts dating back to Mar. 27--including a bullet six-furlong gate work in 1:11.80 over the local strip May. 17. Off to an alert start, she relaxed in the early stages from the outside, but quickly moved forward to establish a clear lead through fractions of :22.21 and :45.14. Unchallenged entering the stretch, Super Majesty coasted home to a decisive 6 1/4-length tally under minimal urging in a swift final time. Cadet Roni (Colonel John) was second best. The winner, a $100,000 KEESEP yearling turned $400,000 FTFMAR juvenile purchase, is a daughter of 2006 GIII Ballerina Breeders= Cup S. winner Gins Majesty. That dam, who RNA=d for $240,000 while in foal to First Samurai at the 2007 Fasig-Tipton Kentucky November sale, has also produced the unraced juvenile filly Flynn Bug (Sidney=s Candy), as well as an unnamed yearling colt by Bluegrass Cat.
