Kentuckian, a half-brother to ‘TDN Rising Star' Maclean's Music (Distorted Humor), who earned a record 114 Beyer Speed Figure for a first time starter in 2011, was installed as the 3-5 favorite off a series of bullet works here, most recently breezing six panels in 1:13 4/5 Mar. 1. Seizing the early advantage, the $610,000 KEESEP purchase doled out splits of :22.54 and :45.65 from the rail. Under a hand ride from Hall of Famer Russell Baze, the gray sailed clear in the lane with devastating ease to register an 11-length success. Fellow firster Solomon Bay (Leroidesanimaux {Brz}) was second. The winner's two-time graded stakes-winning dam Forest Music won her debut by eight lengths at Laurel in October 2003 and earned a 105 Beyer. She produced a colt by Distorted Humor last year. Lifetime Record: 1-1-0-0, $15,600.
