Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale Posts Gains

Lot 1214 | Tattersalls Ireland

The Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale posted gains across most categories as the four-day foal portion of the five-day stand wrapped up Thursday. The aggregate of €11,683,700 was the largest since 2007, while the overall average of €16,596 (+14%) and the median of €12,500 (14%) are records. Day fours topper was lot 1214, a colt by Kapgarde (Fr) from the Chapel Lane Bloodstock consignment. The chestnut was knocked down for €54,000 by Richard Rohan and is out of a half-sister to the dam of 15-time and dual Grade 1 hurdle winner The New One (Ire) (King's Theatre {Ire}).

“He is an unbelievable first foal,” said Rohan for the April-foaled colt. “A cracking sort, I couldn't leave him behind. He is by a very good sire and has a serious black-type horse high up in his page.”

The final session of the Tattersalls Ireland November National Hunt Sale, with mares and breeding stock on offer, begins Friday at 11 a.m. local time.
