Tattersalls February Catalogue Online

Edmond Mahony

The catalogue for the Tattersalls February Sale is now online at www.tattersalls.com.

A total of 446 horses have been catalogued for the sale, to be held Thursday and Friday, Feb. 1 and 2, 2018, consisting of 164 fillies in and out of training, 46 broodmares, 175 colts and geldings in and out of training, 46 yearlings and 15 2-year-olds. The catalogue features high-quality drafts from Juddmonte Farms, Godolphin and Shadwell, who account for 59 offerings between them.

The Castlebridge Consignment is represented by the sale's single-largest group of horses numbering, including the stakes-winning and group-placed 4-year-old filly Key to My Heart (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). The former 1.3-million guineas Tattersalls October yearling is out of US Grade I winner A Z Warrior (Bernardini) and her year-older full-brother Chairman (Ire) (ex Cole Porter {Ire}) was a three-time winner in Singapore and is developing into one of that jurisdiction's top stayers. The Castlebridge Consignment also offers the 93-rated Smoulder (GB) (Redoute's Choice {Aus}), a half-sister to MG1SW Legatissimo (Ire) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}).

Commenting on the 2018 Tattersalls February Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said: “The Tattersalls February Sale goes from strength to strength and this year's catalogue has quality in abundance. The dams of last year's G2 Railway S. winner Beckford (GB) (Bated Breath {GB}) and 2016 G1 St Leger winner Harbour Law (GB) (Lawman {Fr}) is no shortage of high- class breeding stock in this year's catalogue. Additionally there are high-class horses in training, 2-year-olds and yearlings to appeal to the usual diverse mix of domestic and international buyers that have made the February Sale Europe's undisputed leading midwinter sale.”
