The Jockey Club And TOBA To Hold State Breeders Workshop At Churchill Nov. 12

The Jockey Club and The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA) will host a state breeder organization workshop on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. ET in the Oaks Room at Churchill Downs to share current programs to help identify best practices and areas of growth, according to a press release from the club on Thursday morning. Topics include everything from an overview of national trends to perspectives from various breeder programs. Fashionable Fillies Luncheon To Honor Czarniak

The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation will honor media personality Lindsay Czarniak at its annual Fashionable Fillies Luncheon at Saratoga National Golf Club on Monday, Aug. 4, according to a press release from the organization on Friday. Czarniak, who has served as a host, anchor and sideline reporter for multiple networks, is a Thoroughbred owner through A Stake in Stardom, an initiative of America's Best Racing. The 2025 edition of The Jockey Club's Fact Book is now available in the resources section of the organization's website, according to a press release from that entity on Friday. The online Fact Book is a statistical and informational guide to Thoroughbred breeding, racing, and auction sales in North America, which is updated quarterly. Thoroughbred Incentive Program Reveals 2024 Performance Award Winners

The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P.), which encourages retraining Thoroughbreds into other disciplines after their racing or breeding careers end, has revealed winners and other placings from its 2024 Performance Awards Program, the group announced Friday morning. Jockey Club Mare Incentive Program Assists Breeders With Mating Plans

The Jockey Club has rolled out a new pilot project, the Mare Incentive Program, that waives registration fees for certain 2026 foals of mares that meet certain criteria in order to assist breeders with their mating plans, the organization said in a press release early Friday. The Jockey Club Reports Foal Crop Decrease of 2.4%; Practical Joke Leads the Way with 277 Mares

The live foal crop of 2024 is down 2.4 percent from 2023, from 18,143 lives foals in 2023 to a current reported foal crop of 17,700 for 2024, according to statistics compiled through Oct. 13 of this year, The Jockey Club reported in a press release on Friday. The organization estimates that the number of live foals reported so far is 85-95 percent complete.
