RRP Elects New Board Members and Officers

Richard Lamb has been elected the new board chair of the Retired Racehorse Project and Jodie Vella-Gregory has been elected the organization's new vice chair. The RRP also added new board members Dr. Shannon Reed and Sissy Wickes. Lamb, the former vice chair, has stepped into the leadership role to take the place of outgoing chair, Sue Smith. The Retired Racehorse Project (RRP) has elected new officers and board members for three-year terms. Sue Smith, Richard Lamb, Malinda Lawrence, JudithAnn Hartman, and Clare and Tom Mansmann have all moved into new roles. Smith, the former vice chair and current executive director of CANTER Pennsylvania, has been named the new board chair. She has served on the RRP board since 2015. Blackmore Makes History At Cheltenham

Jump racing was lifted from the doldrums on the opening day of Cheltenham as Rachael Blackmore became the first woman to win a championship race at the Festival aboard Kenny Alexander's unbeaten Honeysuckle (GB) (Sulamani {Ire}).
