Saturday's second and final session of the Bloodstock South Africa National Yearling sale saw seven additional seven-figure (Rand) lots added to the top of the price list. Maine Chance Farms's champion sire Silvano (Ger) had been the star of day one, responsible for the top four lots including the sale-leading R7-million colt (£313,406/€348,135), and he once again provided the top two on Saturday. Bloodstock South Africa's National Yearling Sale, delayed from its original April calendar date, at last got off and running for its two-day stand on Friday. A colt by South African champion sire Silvano (Ger) took top billing at the Cape Premier Yearling Sale staged in Cape Town on Thursday. Offered as lot 99 by Drakenstein Stud, the bay was bought by Nicholas Jonsson for R3-million (£159,394/€187,124).
