Fashionable Fillies Luncheon Comes to Lexington

The Fashionable Fillies Luncheon, a long-time fixture at Saratoga and added at Santa Anita this year, will be held in Lexington as part of the Breeders' Cup Festival Week. The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation will host the event at Jeff Ruby's on Nov. 2 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with TOPSINLEX as media partner. Shannon Arvin, president and chief executive officer of Keeneland, has been named to The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation Board of Trustees. She fills the vacant position left by D.G. Donations to Jockey Club Safety Net Program to Go to COVID-19 Relief

The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation is calling for donations to assist backstretch workers affected by the COVID-19 outbreak across the United States. All donations to the foundation will be designated for COVID-19 relief until further notice. The foundation's current priority is addressing the immediate need to stock food pantries at racetracks around the country, and it is coordinating with the Race Track Chaplaincy of America in this effort. Fashionable Fillies Luncheon Heads West to Santa Anita Park

The Fashionable Fillies Luncheon will head west for the first time this year, landing on Mar. 8, at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, Calif., The Jockey Club Safety Net Foundation announced Thursday. The traditional summer luncheon will again be held in Saratoga Springs, with both events benefiting the foundation. Hosted in Santa Anita's Chandelier Room, the March event will include cocktails, lunch, and the opportunity to shop from local vendors.
