A son of Affinisea topped Part 2 of the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale when selling to John Staunton on behalf of Basil Holian. A bay gelding by Poet's Word caught the eye of Ballyboy Stables' Denis Murphy and was knocked down for €52,000 to top the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale Part II on Friday. This year marked the first time the Derby Sale Part II had been staged since 2017. Part II of the October Yearling Sale kicked off on Wednesday with another 124 lots going through the Arqana sales ring, headed by a Showcasing (GB) colt from the Haras du Mont Dit Mont consignment who went the way of Ross Doyle and Meridian International for €170,000.
