The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association honored the leading horses and connections in the state during the 2023 racing season at its annual awards banquet Saturday at the Indianapolis Marriott North. Horse of the Year honors were posthumously awarded to Nobody Listens (Conveyance), whose five wins from eight 2023 starts included the GIII Turf Monster S. at Parx. ITOBA Stallion Season Auction Opens

The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association's annual Stallion Season Auction went live at 9 p.m. Sunday on Thoroughlybred.com. The auction has dynamic endings, which will begin at 6 p.m. ET Jan. 24. There are a total of 72 seasons from 67 stallions available in the auction. The auction includes stallions standing in Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, Arkansas, Ohio, and California. ITOBA's Offers New Format For Fall Sale

The Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (ITOBA) is introducing a new format for the 2023 Fall Mixed sale. This year will feature a Live Yearling sale, a Paddock sale and a Mixed Digital one. The Live Yearling sale will be held on Oct. 14 at the Horseshoe Indianapolis Receiving Barn at 1:00 p.m. E.T. Barn Fires Subject of ITA Seminar

The Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance will present an educational seminar July 16 to inform horse owners on how to be better prepared for barn fires. Indiana's Springcliff Farm Destroyed by Fire

Springcliff Farm, a leading facility in Indiana specializing in foaling and boarding of mares, was reportedly destroyed by a fire early Thursday morning. Owners Christine and Vince Cagle were in the process Thursday of alerting owners and clients to their loss as well as coordinating with surrounding farms and veterinarians to place horses who survived. Indiana Grand Racing & Casino will be hosting a "Road to Louisville" contest beginning in early 2022 and offering up to $50,000 in prize money. ITOBA Fall Mixed Catalogue Now Online

The catalog for the Indiana Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association Fall Mixed Sale is now online and printed copies will be mailing out shortly, ITOBA announced Wednesday.
