Rathmore Stud's winning point-to-pointer Rockstown Native (Ire) (Califet {Fr}) brought £82,000 to top the Goffs UK January Sale which concluded on Wednesday. Purchased by Stroud Coleman/Jonjo O'Neill as lot 295, he was one of 43 horses to sell on the day of 57 offered (75). The aggregate was £434,500 and the average and median both increased by double digits-£10,105 (+26%) and £5,500 (+16%), respectively. Debut bumper winner Hollymount (Ire) (Jet Away {GB}) (lot 52) commanded the top price of £300,000 during the Goffs UK January Sale timed online auction on Tuesday when sold to Bective Stud. Following the latest COVID-19 lockdowns in Ireland and the UK, several changes to the winter sales at Kildare Paddocks and Doncaster were confirmed by Goffs on Tuesday. Figures Up At Goffs UK January Opener

National Hunt mares and short yearlings took to the ring at Doncaster on Tuesday for the first of two sessions of the Goffs UK January Sale. The session returned increases across the board, with the average up 22% to £11,551 and the median soaring 42% to £8,500. The clearance rate for the 108 horses sold was 68%.
