Gulfstream's Royal Palm Meet Kicks Off Thursday with Increased Purses

Edited Press Release Gulfstream Park's Royal Palm Meet will offer substantial increases in overnight purses as well as bonuses in open stakes and Florida-bred races and stakes as part of a $6-million Florida-Bred Incentive Fund (FBIF). Gulfstream, FHBPA Eye Opportunities For Florida-Breds During Fall Meet

Gulfstream Park and the Florida Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association (FHBPA) are currently developing a 2026 fall racing schedule designed to provide expanded opportunities for Florida-bred horses with fewer restrictions, 1/ST Racing said in a press release on Friday. Florida Breeders, Stallion Awards Cut, New Export Incentive To Bridge the Gap

The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) has approved an amended awards plan that fixes in-state breeder and stallion awards at 15% of gross purses, down from the 20% rate established in 2024, according to a release from the Florida Thorougbbred Breeders' and Owners' Association (FTBOA). The new rates are effective as of Sept. 1, 2025.
