The first day of the Goffs December National Hunt Sale resulted in 178 lots sold from 262 offered, a 68% clearance rate. The gross was €2,424,100, while the average and median were also both up on 2018 at €13,619 (+4%) and €10,000 (+11%), respectively.
Park Farm bid €72,000 for the day's top lot, a son of Soldier of Fortune (Ire) (lot 206). The first foal of Brog Beanri (Ire) (Flemensfirth), he was consigned by Garyrichard Stud, agent. Brog Beanri is a daughter of MGSW hurdler Brogella (Ire) (King's Theatre {Ire}), who ran third in the G1 Morgiana Hurdle.
The second day of trade kicks off at 9:30 a.m. local time on Thursday.
