Sacred Life registered a narrow verdict going one mile at Saint-Malo in his Aug. 4 debut and doubled up in emphatic fashion when dropped to 7 1/2 panels at Deauville last time Aug. 30. Positioned in third until relegated to fifth rounding the home turn in this stakes bow, he was rowed along to close at the top of the straight and powered clear once quickening to challenge at the eighth pole, claiming a career high in taking fashion. “That was most impressive and I am obviously delighted,” said winning owner Jean-Louis Bouchard. “He won in the style of a really nice horse and we will now look forward to his next race.” Trainer Stephane Wattel added, “He was dropping back in trip so was caught for speed on the home turn, but he lengthened nicely in the closing stages. All being well, we will bring him back here for the [Oct. 29 G1] Criterium International.”

Sacred Life is out of an unraced half-sister to G2 Prix Niel and G2 Prix du Conseil de Paris placegetter Migwar (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}), himself the leading performer out of the unraced Katyusha (Kingmambo), who in turn is kin to three black-type performers headed by G1 St Leger-winning sire and G1 Epsom Derby runner-up Rule of Law (Kingmambo). Sacred Life's dam Knyazhna (Ire) (Montjeu {Ire}) has also produced a yearling colt by Le Havre (Ire) and a filly foal by Sea the Stars (Ire).
