Sioux Nation Filly Tops Tattersalls Online June Sale

Lot 23, a filly by Sioux Nation | Tattersalls Online

A filly by Sioux Nation (lot 23) took top honours as the Tattersalls Online June Sale concluded on Thursday.

Offered by San Antone Lodge, the daughter of Jebediah Shine (GB) (Kyllachy {GB}) brought 23,000gns from Rycran Investments. Under the third dam is the stakes winner Cathedral (Ire) (Prince Sabo {GB}), who was also second in the G3 King George S.

“It's a good day,” said Richard Young of Rycran Investments. “We had a really good experience, and it is the way the world is going. It's simple and it was all really straightforward. We are very happy with the filly. She will go to Charlestown Racing with Ciaran Murphy in Mullingar. She has a good chance and we really like the sire. The filly is ready to go, and Ciaran is very excited by her. He's delighted, we're delighted, and she is a very nice prospect.”

Highland Reel (Ire) was the sire on record of the day's second highest price–a filly out of Blue Cloud (Ire) (Nashwan). Sold as lot 12 by P&C Bloodstock, she went to Kilbrew Stables for 15,500gns. Rounding out the top three was a filly by Belardo (Ire) (lot 25). Offered by Calvin Nugent, the bay brought 14,000gns from Freddy Tylicki.

A total of 19 lots sold for a gross of 138,200gns. The average was 7,274gns and the median was 6,000gns.
