Silver Deputy Pensioned from Stud Duties

Silver Deputy (Deputy Minister–Silver Valley, by Mr. Prospector), sire of 75 stakes winners to date including multiple U.S. Eclipse Award winner Silverbulletday and a half-dozen Canadian champions, has been pensioned from stud duties due to declining fertility, according to Ric Waldman, who managed the horse's stud career. Purchased for $200,000 as a yearling by Windfields Farm, the bay made two victorious trips to the races, including the 1987 Swynford S. Owned by a syndicate, Silver Deputy stood at Fred Seitz's Brookdale Farm near Versailles, Kentucky.
