Trained by Bill Mott, the colt's dam is GISP Flor de La Mar (Tiznow), who is a half-sister to SW Catiche (Arrogate). Chad Brown trainee Channel Check (GB) (Night of Thunder {GB}) was taken home by Klaravich Stables for 400,000gns at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. With her second dam a full-sister to European champion stayer Fame And Glory (Montjeu {Ire}), Channel Check is out of Gumriyah (GB) (Shamardal), who went to Hadden Blockstock for 625,000gns at last year's Tattersalls December Mares Sale while in foal to Sea The Stars (Ire).
Joining her at the post is the full-sister to GIII Sam F. Davis hero Candy Man Rocket (Candy Ride {Arg}). Robert Evans homebred Open Lane is set for her unveiling under the care of trainer Christophe Clement. TJCIS PPS
