Juddmonte homebred SILENT IMPACT (Gun Runner), a half-brother to MGISW Emollient (Empire Maker), makes his debut in Florida Saturday for trainer Bill Mott. Juddmonte acquired the dam, Soothing Touch, as a Keeneland September yearling for $500,000 in 2005. In addition to Emollient, who became a multiple graded stakes-producing mare herself, Soothing Touch is responsible for SW/MGISP Hofburg (Tapit) and SW/GSP Courtier (Pioneerof the Nile). Notably, her daughter Calm Water (Empire Maker) is the dam of G1 Emirates Airline Dubai World Cup victor Laurel River (Into Mischief).
Drawn outside in the same field, Bourbon Dream (Quality Road) is the gelded half-brother to SW/MGISP Bless the Broken (Laoban). Breeder Cypress Creek Equine joined with Ad Noir, LLC in partnership on this son of The Nightingale, herself a Tapit half-sister to MGISW Princess of Sylmar (Majestic Warrior). TJCIS PPS

The final race before Saturday's GI Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn features Wild Cat Curlin (Curlin), a homebred for Charles Fipke. This Triple Crown-nominated colt is a half-brother to GSW Danish Dynaformer (Dynaformer). His second dam, Eclipse-winning 3-year-old filly Hollywood Wildcat, also produced GISW War Chant (Danzig) and GSW/MGISP Ivan Denisovich (Ire) (Danehill). This is also the family of Japanese MG1SW Danon Smash (Jpn) (Lord Kanaloa {Jpn}). TJCIS PPS
