'TDN Rising Star, presented by Hagyard' MASHALLAH (Maxfield) earned an eye-popping 106 Beyer Speed Figure in her Keeneland debut going six furlongs for Brendan Walsh Apr. 23. That form was flattered when the third-place runner from that field, In Scope (Gun Runner), went on to earn the 'Rising Star' moniker herself in her next start May 22. Jockey Tyler Gaffalione takes over the ride from Joel Rosario Saturday from the far outside gate as the $1.25-million OBS March grad stretches out against winners.

Drawn just inside is another 'Rising Star' making her second start with Resolute Racing's La Rascasse (Authentic) also stretching out from seven furlongs at Keeneland Apr. 11 to the mile Saturday for Will Walden.

Already experienced over the surface, Godolphin homebred Passerine (Nyquist) earned a 77 Beyer Speed Figure also going seven furlongs May 1 for trainer Brad Cox. TJCIS PPS

First-time starter Belle Amour (Justify) is a daughter of GI Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint course record setter Belvoir Bay (GB) (Equiano {Fr}) who sold shortly after that win for $1.5 million to Mike Shannon at the Fasig-Tipton November Sale in 2019. Steve Asmussen will leg up Jose Ortiz for this debut. TJCIS PPS
