Angelenos In Action in partnership with Santa Anita Park are staging a donation drive to aid in fire relief efforts on Sunday, Feb. 23 at the racetrack. Those who choose to donate will be treated to a complimentary day at the races with free admission, free parking and a free racing program.

Donations will be accepted between the hours of 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. in the Santa Anita parking lot. Access can be gained via Gate 5 off Huntington Drive or Gate 8 off Baldwin Avenue. Non-perishable food, water, paper products, toiletries and diapers will be accepted.

During that day's live racing program, Santa Anita will be honoring first responders with a free lunch, track admission, open seating in the box seats and VIP tours.

Following last month's wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles County, including the nearby Eaton Fire that affected many in the Santa Anita community, Santa Anita has been at the forefront of relief efforts. A donation center established at Santa Anita in the aftermath of the fires drew more than 100,000 people to pick up or drop-off needed supplies. Portions of Santa Anita's parking lots continue to serve as a base camp for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) and a staging ground for Southern California Edison utility company.

Due to its ongoing relief efforts, Santa Anita was recently recognized as one of nine “Eaton Fire Community Heroes” by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
