Ride On Curlin (Curlin–Magical Ride, by Storm Cat), a good second behind California Chrome (Lucky Pulpit) in the 2014 GI Preakness S., has been retired to Pleasant Acres Stallions in Florida, it was announced. A stud fee will be revealed at a later date.

“It has been my goal since opening a stallion station in 2014 to bring new bloodlines to Florida,” farm owner Joe Barbazon said. “Ride On Curlin fits our program by being the first son of Curlin to come to our state and is out of a brilliant female family. I look forward to diversifying my broodmare band to compliment this fine young stallion.”

Bred in Kentucky by G. Watts Humphrey Jr. and Louise Ireland, campaigned by owner Daniel J. Dougherty and trainer Billy Gowan, and now property of a syndicate, the $25,000 KEESEP yearling earned $795,175 in 22 career starts. In his second career attempt as a 2-year-old, he set a track record for 5 1/2 furlongs at Ellis Park in Kentucky. Ride On Curlin was also third in the 2013 GI Foxwoods Champagne S. and second in the following year's GI Arkansas Derby. His second dam is GI Test S. heroine Victory Ride (Seeking the Gold).
