Last year's G1 Melbourne Cup winner Rekindling (Ire) (High Chaparral {Ire}) will stay in Australia for the autumn racing season and have at least two more runs there before returning to trainer Joseph O'Brien in Ireland, owner Lloyd Williams confirmed to Racing.com. Rekindling's primary target will be the G1 Sydney Cup at The Championships in April, and he could also take in the G1 Australian Cup or the G1 The BMW in March.
