Pride of Dubai to Shuttle to Coolmore Ireland

Pride of Dubai (Aus) (Street Cry {Ire}–Al Anood {Aus}, by Danehill), the only 2-year-old in history to complete the G1 Blue Diamond S./G1 Sires' Produce S. double, will reverse shuttle to Coolmore's Ireland base for the 2017 Northern Hemisphere breeding season, the stallion station announced Tuesday. Owned by a group including breeder Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa al Maktoum, Coolmore and the China Horse Club, the newly turned 4-year-old stands his first year at stud at Coolmore's Hunter Valley satellite this year.

“He's an exceptionally good-looking horse with plenty of size and strength, he was a brilliant 2-year-old and his pedigree is all about speed,” enthused Coolmore's Director of Sales David O'Loughlin. “He's by a top-class sire in Street Cry, out of a close relative to Invincible Spirit (Ire) and Kodiac (GB) who both sired major winners at Royal Ascot this year over the minimum trip. I can see him proving extremely popular with breeders here, particularly once they've come to see him.”

A half-brother to SW & GSP Al Aneed (Aus) (More Than Ready), Pride of Dubai is also kin to Sheikh Khalifa's Enaad (Aus) (High Chaparral {Ire}), who earned the second graded stakes win of his career in the G2 eLan Gold Cup (3200m) at Greyville in South Africa this past weekend.
