The newly positioned OBS Yearling Sale, previously held in August, kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 10, with a select session beginning at noon that includes 202 yearlings. The sale concludes Wednesday, Oct. 11, with an open session beginning at 9 a.m. that has 445 yearlings catalogued.
Stallions represented include Animal Kingdom, Congrats, Distorted Humor, Fed Biz, Giant's Causeway, Goldencents, Kitten's Joy, Mucho Macho Man, New Year's Day, Shanghai Bobby, Tapit, Union Rags, Violence and Verrazano.
Last year's select session was topped by a Flatter colt who sold for $210,000. During that session 138 yearlings sold for $5,612,100. The open portion of the yearling sale spanned two days last year with 371 horses selling for $3,083,00.
