Not This Time Filly Stress Relief Runs Away From Them at Churchill

Joel Politi's Stress Relief (Not This Time) did the majority of her work down the road at Keeneland and capped things off with an easy five-eighths from the gate over the Churchill main track in a solid 1:02 1/5 on June 13 and was a 15-2 chance in a field of mostly first-time starters.

The homebred showed good gate speed to vie for the early lead outside of favored Subliminal (McKinzie) through an opening quarter in :22.16. Sent into the lead by Brian Hernandez, Jr. turning into the stretch, the dark bay went through her gears in the final furlong and a half and had a cushion of five lengths on the wire over Etna (Volatile).

Kentucky Oaks-winning owner Joel Politi purchased dam Littlestitious for $190,000 at the 2019 Keeneland September sale and raced her to three victories, including a pair of listed stakes. The mare's most recent produce is a filly by Liam's Map.
