New Members Added to Racegoers' Consultative Forum

A total of six new members have been appointed to the 14-strong Racegoers' Consultative Forum (RCF), Horse Racing Ireland announced on Monday. The six new forum members are: Eugene Kelly (North East and Northern Ireland region); Steven McGuinness (Northern Ireland); Tom Galway and Mark McGrath (South East); and student representatives Heather Downey and Kara Gabbett. Meeting quarterly and providing formal reports from the racecourses under their jurisdiction, forum members represent racegoers and bring ideas and feedback to HRI senior executives to improve the race going experience. They will serve 3-year voluntary terms.

“Horse Racing Ireland is delighted to welcome the six new members to the Racegoers Consultative Forum,” said HRI CEO Brian Kavanagh. “Much has been achieved in recent years through HRI's capital development programme to improve customer facilities; however, the work of the RCF gives us valuable insights from experienced and dedicated racegoers which help us to constantly improve the quality of the racing product and the raceday experience.”
