Music Magnate (NZ) (Written Tycoon {Aus}), who provided trainer Bjorn Baker with a first Group 1 win in the Doomben 10,000 May 28, will miss the spring after contracting a virus, Baker told Racing.com.
“Unfortunately, he just recently had a virus so he'll be out for the spring and [we will] bring him back for the New Year,” the trainer confirmed. “He hasn't been straightforward; he had one or two issues. We've been patient with him and it worked out well [in the Doomben 10,000].”
The 4-year-old gelding finished 11th of 16 in Eagle Farm's G1 Stradbroke H. when last seen June 11.
