By My Standards (Goldencents–A Jealous Woman, by Muqtarib) has been purchased by a group of Louisiana horsemen–the By My Standards Syndicate–and will stand in Northwest Louisiana, according to Louisiana Horse Magazine.
According to the partnership, details on the No. 1 second-crop sire in the state will be forthcoming.
At three, he captured the nine-furlong GII Louisiana Derby in 1:49.53, the second-fastest Louisiana Derby in history. He defeated a field that included future Kentucky Derby winner Country House and future Preakness Stakes winner War of Will.
At four, he won the GII Oaklawn Handicap, GII New Orleans Classic and GII Alysheba Stakes. His Oaklawn Handicap time of 1:47.80 was the fastest in the race since Medaglia d'Oro in 2003.
He also finished second in the GI Whitney Stakes and second in the GI Metropolitan Handicap. He retired with seven wins and over $2.2 million in earnings.
By My Standards' dam, A Jealous Woman, is a graded placed, multiple stakes winner of $469,956, as well as a stakes producer.
Formerly at Spendthrift Farm, the 10-year-old stallion was 12th among first crop sires in 2025 with earnings of $611,383 and ninth by individual winners. He was also responsible for black-type performers A Million Dreams and Kid Charlemagne.
