Motivator's Vue Fantastique Pounces for Psyche Shock

   Vue Fantastique, who posted a runner-up finish at Saint-Cloud in her sole juvenile outing last November, occupied the same berth back there on sophomore return Mar. 19 and ran fourth in Chantilly's Apr. 9 G3 Prix Vanteaux before registering a personal best with a second in the May 14 G1 Prix Saint-Alary over this course and distance. She slipped to 11th when contesting a dramatic renewal of the June 18 G1 Prix de Diane back at Chantilly and delivered a shock here with a first win of any kind. Positioned in third almost throughout, she came under increased urging in the straight to lead with 100 metres remaining and held enough in reserve to withstand the late bids of Listen In and Onthemoonagain.

   Vue Fantastique becomes the second scorer out of Exit the Straight and is a half-sister to MGSP Listed Criterium du Languedoc victor Calling Out (Fr) (Martaline {GB}), the 2-year-old filly Primula (Fr) (Authorized {Ire}) and the yearling filly Love Rocks (Fr) (Le Havre {Ire}). Her second dam Straight Miss (Ire) (In the Wings {GB}), who produced G3 Prix de Cabourg-winning sire Mazameer (Ire) (Green Desert), is a half-sister to G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere-winning sire Naaqoos (GB) (Oasis Dream {GB}) and G3 Prix La Force-winning sire Barastraight (GB) (Barathea {Ire}).
