Royal Ascot entry and recent Redcar winner Miss Yechance sold for 250,000gns at the Tattersalls Online June Pop-up Sale to Royal Chance Bloodstock, understood to be the guise in which bloodstock agent Alessandro Marconi was signing for on behalf of unnamed clients.
An impressive winner over five furlongs on debut at Redcar two weeks ago for trainer Jack Morland and owners Derek Lovatt and Colin Bacon, the daughter of Cotai Glory was offered by EMW Equine with entries in the G2 Queen Mary Stakes and the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Miss Yechance was a £32,000 yearling purchase for EMW Equine before going unsold at £48,000 at the Goffs Breeze-up Sale earlier in the spring despite posting one of the fastest times in the breeze. With Royal Ascot aspirations ignited following her debut win at Redcar, connections elected to offer the filly on the Tattersalls Online platform.
Whitaker commented, “I'm ecstatic. I am lucky to have two very good owners in Derek Lovatt and Colin Bacon who have believed in not only me but in my team and most importantly in the filly. Unfortunately, things did not fall into place at the breeze ups but we've always had faith in her and she repaid us by winning as she did on debut. It's a big relief but I believe she will progress into a very nice filly and she will only get better. I wish her new connections the very best of luck.”
