Returning from a brief winter break having finished second in the G1 Hong Kong Vase, Talismanic who sprang to prominence when capturing the GI Breeders' Cup Turf was keen in second initially. Gaining the advantage and first run on stable companion Cloth of Stars (Ire) (Sea the Stars {Ire}) with a quarter mile to race, the 13-10 second favourite surged away from him from the furlong pole and registered an ultimately-decisive 1 3/4-length success. Godolphin's Lisa-Jane Graffard outlined Dubai plans for both. “That was a nice introduction for both horses and both will definitely ship to Dubai next, with Talismanic set for the Dubai World Cup and Cloth of Stars heading to the Sheema Classic.
