Kyllachy Gelding Tops ERA Sale at Meydan

Rocket Power (g, 4, Kyllachy {GB}–Rhal {Ire}, by Rahy), winner of a Mar. 17 handicap at Jebel Ali, was knocked down to trainer Ahmad bin Harmash for AED220,000 (£47,961/€55,297/US$59,898) to top Monday's 2017 Emirates Racing Authority Horses in Training Sale held in the saddling enclosure at Meydan Racecourse.

Bred by Crossfields Bloodstock Limited, the 27,000gns Tattersalls October yearling purchase was a maiden winner at second asking over the Southwell all-weather last February for trainer James Tate and was purchased by Al Tariq Stud for 18,000gns at Tattersalls' October Horses of Racing Age Sale. Conditioned in the Emirates by Helal al Alawi, the chestnut was third in a non-Carnival handicap at Meydan eight days prior to his most recent appearance.

A total of 107 horses changed hands for a total of AED2,402,800 (£524,294/€605,227/US$654,197) for an average of AED22,456. Some 10 horses were reported as unsold.
