Juvenile Punches Ticket for Magic Millions 2yo Classic

Falconic (Aus) (Nicconi {Aus}) gained entry into the A$2-million Jeep Magic Millions 2YO Classic with a 1 1/4-length victory at Rosehill on Christmas Eve. Falconic is owned by a large contingent of female owners, who are also chasing the A$500,000 Magic Millions Racing Women bonus, with A$325,000, plus earnings from the race itself, on the line if Falconic is the first all-female owned horse past the post. For the second through fourth-place finishers with female owners, they will split A$175,000.

“I will think about a set of blinkers for a high pressure race like the Magic Millions [Classic],” said winning trainer Gary Portelli of his A$105,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast yearling. “Obviously he has to improve off that for the Magic Millions, but he is honest and he is in the race.”

Falconic has a yearling half-brother by Zoustar (Aus) slated to sell as lot 347 during the upcoming Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
