Inglis Releases Classic Yearling Sale Catalogue

Inglis released the online catalogue for their Classic Yearling Sale, featuring 800 lots spread over four days from Feb. 10-13, on Sunday. The largest offering for the Classic Yearling Sale in its history and the first in its new Riverside Stables, the first day of Book 1–the Gold Riband session–will begin at 6 p.m. local time following the Inglis Race Day at Warwick Farm. An additional two days of Book 1 follow at 11 a.m. each day, while a single-session Book 2, will also commence at that hour on Feb. 13.

There are 109 sires represented, among them established sires like last season's leading sire Snitzel (Aus) (3), I Am Invincible (Aus) (12), Choisir (Aus) (15), Exceed And Excel (Aus) (3), Fastnet Rock (Aus) (6), Written Tycoon (Aus) (7), Hinchinbrook (Aus) (28), Not A Single Doubt (Aus) (16), Pierro (Aus) (9), Savabeel (Aus) (1), Sebring (Aus) (7), and Star Witness (Aus) (29).

Relatives of 63 SWs and offspring of 60 SWs are also available, among them a half-sister to Group 1 winner Japonisme (Aus) (Choisir {Aus}), (lot 425), by first-season sire and Horse of the Year Dissident (Aus) from the Coolmore Stud draft; a Newgate Farm-consigned half-brother to G1SW Amanpour (Aus) (Northern Meteor {Aus}), SW & GSP Turf Express (Aus) (Danehill Dancer {Ire}) and SW Sports Edition (Aus) (Northern Meteor {Aus}), as lot 552 also by Dissident; a daughter (lot 434) of fellow first-season sire Olympic Glory (Ire) who is a half-sister to MGSW & MG1SP In Her Time (Aus) (Time Thief {Aus}) offered via Kanangra; and a Eurozone (Aus) half-sister to G1SW Good Project (Aus) (Not A Single Doubt {Aus}) and MSW World Airlines (Aus) (Umatilla {NZ}) is consigned by Fairhill Farm as lot 384.

“The Classic Sale has produced some of Australia's best Group 1 performers in recent years including reigning Golden Slipper winner She Will Reign (Aus) and the likes of I Am A Star (NZ), Yankee Rose (Aus) and Extreme Choice (Aus) just to name a few,” said Inglis National Bloodstock Director Jonathan D'Arcy. “There is no better value sale in Australia than the Inglis Classic Sale. The inaugural Gold Riband session was an overwhelming success last year and with it again being on opening night in 2018–which doubles as opening night of our new Riverside Stables complex–Saturday Feb. 10 is going to be one memorable day and night.”

All yearlings offered at an Inglis Yearling Sale are eligible for entry into the A$6-million Inglis Race Series.
